Question
How can I find out about these items what is valueable what is not? What to look for at auctions?

Answer
-

Get a few books from the library, and read. Go to auctions to view. Visit dealers and discuss pieces with them. Join relevant clubs and societies. Build up your expertise - it will take years. Maybe in 2-3 years, if you work hard and study carefully, you will know enough to buy with confidence. There are no easy shortcuts - that's why there are experts and non-experts.
