Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Replace Glass in Cabinet

Question
I have my grandmother's china cabinet. It has glass front. The door, is flat and oblong.  The two sides have curved glass.  One of the side cureved glass is broken/missing and I want to find a place that I can get a replacement glass made to fit.  I live in Indiana and don't know if I will have to take it to them so they can make it but am willing to travel. How can I find a place to work with to get this replaced?

Answer
Hi Peggy
Nice to hear from you.
Oh I am sorry this has happened, but do not despair.
The following people carry what you want.
Very reputable company and I would highly recommend them.

Scrool down on the page and you will find the curved glass.
You can also easily have a piece of plexiglass cut that will easily bend to the curve shape if you want to go cheaper.
I have seen this done and really had to look to tell the difference.
Good Luck

Expertise

I can answer most questions about the repairing and refinishing of all your old furniture items (the things we call antiques). I can also give you advice on what wood items to choose and what wood items to avoid at auctions, flea markets etc. I DO NOT give appraisals on antiques as this is not my field of expertise.

Experience

I have been repairing, refinishing and of course buying old furniture for the past 30 years. On any given weekend I can be found at auction sales or flea markets searching out a good buy. I have taken several courses in this area over the years, but I find "Hands On" learning to be the best teacher. I can help you avoid the pitfalls and problems of this wonderful rewarding craft.
