Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Roos Cedar Chest

Question
I understand you do not do appraisals.  Where or how can I found out how much the Roos Cedar chest is worth?  Thank You

Answer
Hi Tiffany
Nice to hear from you.
There is a gentleman on our site who may help you with this.
His name is Fred Taylor and he can be found on the same page you found me.
But do not be disappointed if you find it is not worth as much as you think.
These chests are quite common, and of course the condition is important. They range from 150.00 to $400.00 in my neck of the woods (Canada) And I was lucky enough to get one for $50.00 recently. I guess I was in the right place at the right time.
I would fill my house with cedar chests if I could..I love them.
Good Luck

Expertise

I can answer most questions about the repairing and refinishing of all your old furniture items (the things we call antiques). I can also give you advice on what wood items to choose and what wood items to avoid at auctions, flea markets etc. I DO NOT give appraisals on antiques as this is not my field of expertise.

Experience

I have been repairing, refinishing and of course buying old furniture for the past 30 years. On any given weekend I can be found at auction sales or flea markets searching out a good buy. I have taken several courses in this area over the years, but I find "Hands On" learning to be the best teacher. I can help you avoid the pitfalls and problems of this wonderful rewarding craft.
