Subject: S&S Woodcarvers carousel horse

Question
I purchased an S&S Woodcarvers horse in 1989.  It is signed and dated.  It is in good condition.  I am going to sell the horse.  What would be the best avenue in which to sell it?  What price range could I expect to receive?  Thank you.

Answer
Unfortunately, contemporary carvings are considered more as decorative items than collectibles so they generally do not increase in value with time.   I've seen S&S carvings sell for as little as a few hundred dollars.   In this case, I'd have to say, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.    I've seen lots of these on ebay.  I have no idea if they ever sell however.

Sorry that I can't be of more help.
