Question
I have an old pair of german sewing material cutting scissors, all metal, big loop for my fingers to fit in (all three of my fat ones) and about 10 ¾" (inches) long.  Do you have an idea what I'm talking about and do you know how much they would be worth? Thanks a thousand

Answer
Hello Admiral N.  Scissors aren't an area of sewing tools I am familiar with, but I can tell you they are collectible.  I couldn't give you a value without seeing them, so my suggestion to you would be take them to a local antiques dealer for an appraisal.  There are a couple of books dedicated strictly to scissors, but they aren't commonly found.  There are collector who specialize in scissors, so you may find someone by searching the internet.  You might also find something similar for sale on eBay that would help tell you about your item.  Sorry I can't be of more help to you.   Barb
