Question
Hi
I have a side-by-side secretary desk..one half with shelves with a glass side and glass door. The other side has a pulled down desk door and below that a couple of drawers. My ex took it apart to sand it and stain it..it is still in pieces and would like to get it back together. Do you have directions or know a site that describes putting it back together? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you. DEB

Answer
Hi Deb
Nice to hear from you.
If I had these pieces in my shop I could figure out how it went together but there are no directions.
There is no site that describes this.
Take the pieces to shop that does refinishing...along with the story of how it came to be in pieces LOL.
They will fix it for you.
Thanks for a great and funny question. You made my day.
Kind regards
Eileen

Expertise

I can answer most questions about the repairing and refinishing of all your old furniture items (the things we call antiques). I can also give you advice on what wood items to choose and what wood items to avoid at auctions, flea markets etc. I DO NOT give appraisals on antiques as this is not my field of expertise.

Experience

I have been repairing, refinishing and of course buying old furniture for the past 30 years. On any given weekend I can be found at auction sales or flea markets searching out a good buy. I have taken several courses in this area over the years, but I find "Hands On" learning to be the best teacher. I can help you avoid the pitfalls and problems of this wonderful rewarding craft.
