Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Sewing Machine

Question
Hi.  I have an antique sewing machine that I was wondering if you could give me an estimate on.  I am not sure on the exact date of the machine but I think it is from 1910-1920 tredel sewing machine.  The machine itself does not work anymore but the rest of is in pretty good shape.  Can you give me a "rough" estimate on what it would be worth?  Thank you so much!

Answer
Hello Becky,
Thanks for your query.
It is however impossible for me to answer your question without specific details about your sewing machine. Does it have a maker's name? for instance Singer etc. Is there a Model number anywhere on the machine? What is the condition of the machine? Is it fancy or just plain?
Please provide me with more details and I will try to help you. A photograph is very beneficial so if you are able to take a photo please send it to me at tahoeviews@aol.com
Thanks.
Irene

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
