Question
I bought a gumball machine at a garage sale recently. I thought it old and unusual as it is made out of wood. It says "Victor Vending Corp." and "Baby Grand."  Do you have any idea as to it's age and a possible range of value?
Any info. you can provide would be apreciated.

Answer
Hi John,

There are three different models on the Baby Grand, the baby grand was made in 1951 and it's value is $60.00, this is 16 inches tall. This had an extension on top which provides for extra capacity and provided product visibility from any angle.

Then there is the baby grand Deluxe, which is also valued at $60.00 but is only 12" tall. this machine has rectangle viewing window on it's sides made out of Lucite.

The last model is called Super V, or may be called the granddad by some. This had round viewing windows on it's sides and was 15" tall, the value on this one is $70.00.

I hope john that this gives you the answers you need on it, if not you could e-mail me a photo if you like, my address is; jackpot7@ix.netcom.com

Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
