Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Victor Super V ?

Question
Roger
I was reading through your answers and I think you answered some of my questions. I now think I have a Victor Super V? It has round side windows and is rounded at the front, top.It has two tone oak finish on the sides. The wood is in excellent condition and it is a beautiful machine. However it is missing a wheel. It was a peanut vendor (I guess) but I would like to convert it to gumballs if possable. My questions are, do you know where I may aquire a replacement wheel and a correct 1c decal for the front face?
You stated in a earlier answer that It was made in the 50s and was booked at $70.00, is that correct for this machine? Not that I have any interest in selling it (it's too pretty) but I am wondering.

Answer
Hi again buddy, as for value, my book has what it calls a value guide, it's just a guide and there is no really set value. I myself would try like 150.00 if I was selling it. There is someone who has gum ball parts and decals but I haven't found there name until now, that was one of the reasons for not getting back to you right anyway, it's Crow River Trading co. 888-596-4492, on the web it's www.crowriver.com his name is Roger like mine, he also might be able to tell you a more precise value for your machine.
Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
