Question
Rodger, I have a Watling Penny Scale and have had it for 30 years at least...got it from an old pharmacy that was being torn down...I don't have all the detail information but will go over the scale with a fine tooth comb now and that should help...but here is my question..the mirror is cracked and I was thinking of having it repaired /replaced but don't know the cost  or who would do that for me...any thoughts? thanks janet

Answer
Hi Again Janet,

You should be receiving some information on your scale shortly, it's a great little scale. The VALUE GUIDE list's it's value at around $300.00. Remember this is just a guide value. Enjoy the information it should tell you just about everything about it.
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson

Hi Janet,

I am not sure what model or type of scale you have but if it's just a simple mirror that needs replaced, a glass shop can make you an exact copy of it. Or, you could remove your cracked one and take it to a glass shop and have one cut to just the right size. Cost would not be to much, If I were to guess I bet it would be less then $50.00. Send me a photo of it if you like, my e-mail address is jackpot7@ix.netcom.com
Thank You
Rodger

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
