Question
I have 3 old pine dressers . Are they worth anything?I have a cherry table, the top turns and there is a compartment under the top.

Nice to hear from you.
My expertise is furniture refinishing, and I do not give appraisals on old furniture.
I will however offer a comment on your old pine dressers.
It has been my experience that old pine furniture is becoming more sought after and the prices have escalated.
It is certainly not my favorite wood, but thats just me :-)
So yes, your dressers are worth something for sure.
An appraiser would have to view the pieces to give an estimate, but if you like them and are keeping them, it really does not matter what the value is.
If you plan on selling them, thats were an appraisal would be helpful.

I can also give you advice on what wood items to choose and what wood items to avoid at auctions, flea markets etc. I DO NOT give appraisals on antiques as this is not my field of expertise.

I have been repairing, refinishing and of course buying old furniture for the past 30 years. On any given weekend I can be found at auction sales or flea markets searching out a good buy. I have taken several courses in this area over the years, but I find "Hands On" learning to be the best teacher. I can help you avoid the pitfalls and problems of this wonderful rewarding craft.
