Question
I have a gumball machine red in color and 1 cent figure on the glass  round dome.  In the glass its has this star in  a circle on the front and back side.  No other markings that I can find.  I know it works because a friend had it in her store and used it.  It stands l4 1/2 inches high.  I unfortunately cannot send you a picture as I do not have a camera in which to do that. If you could make a stab at it I would appreciate it.

Answer
Hi Pauline,

    No markings, no name or manufacture. This will be a hard one!, and will take some time as I will have to go through hundreds of different machines based on your description you gave me and no photo. I will give it a try, but like they say "a photo is worth a thousand words".
If I find something that looks close I would want to e-mail you a photo to see if it's right, if that is OK with you I would need your e-mail address to send one, you would have to write me first so I could get it, my address is;

Thank You and wish us luck.......

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
