Question
I have an antique safe that is over 100 years old from the old coal mining company store. How can I find out what it is worth and find a buyer? Thank you very much

Answer
Hi Michelle, I am answering you off the record so don't rate me bad for this as this is not my expert subject, coin operated machines is my knowledge Field, not old safes. But, I have a couple and know a little about them. Value I find is never much over an average of 400.00. I have a big one from a grain company I paid 60.00 for and another nice end table size maybe made around 1920 I paid 175.00 for but I would think both would be worth about 350.00 to 400.00. I would do a search on ebay for safes, I see them there. Another is to take a photo of it and ask a lock smith what you should try selling it for as they deal in old as new safes all the time. That's about the best I can do to help you as this is not my line of knowledge, just trying to help you a little.
Thank You
Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
