Question
what determines what is an antique? is it age or just an experts opinion.

Answer
Hello Norm.  Your question may have different answers, depending on who you ask.  To me, an antique is defined as anything 100 years old or older.  An expert's opinion should be backed up by fact, so be sure and ask him/her what their definition of "antique" is and why it would apply to the item in question.  Barb
