Question
Hi Eileen: Your experts desc. mentioned sources for appraisals. I have a tomahawk/peacepipe that I inherited from my dad many years ago. Might you have any info on who I could contact that would know about these artifacts ? Thankyou.....Glenn

Answer
Hi Again Glenn
I have been watching the site I referred you to and see you have had no answer to your query (surprising)
I have another place for you to try if you care to.
Perhaps you will get some answers there
Merry Christmas

Hi Glenn
Nice to hear from you.
This has to be the most interesting and unusual question I have had in a long time.
How wonderful to own such an artifact.
Of course this is way above me. First I will suggest a site that is a wealth of information.
There are people there that never seem to be stumped for an answer.
Post this question on the board and I'll bet you will have the info you desire.
If this fails, get back to me and we will look some more.
Thanks for writing. I enjoyed this.
Eileen

Expertise

I can answer most questions about the repairing and refinishing of all your old furniture items (the things we call antiques). I can also give you advice on what wood items to choose and what wood items to avoid at auctions, flea markets etc. I DO NOT give appraisals on antiques as this is not my field of expertise.

Experience

I have been repairing, refinishing and of course buying old furniture for the past 30 years. On any given weekend I can be found at auction sales or flea markets searching out a good buy. I have taken several courses in this area over the years, but I find "Hands On" learning to be the best teacher. I can help you avoid the pitfalls and problems of this wonderful rewarding craft.
