i have recieved four lamps as a gift, two are large with a woman on one and a man on the other, they are somekind of metal, the say a. guadez jb hircsh co. the shades are with them, i am not sure if they are the original or not the date on the lamps is 1963. the other two are cherub lamps that are also somekind of metal , all four of the lamps are painted with cream colored paint. the cherub lamps say capital mould casting co ny, they are dated 1965. is there any way that you can tell me where these are from, and their value? thanks kathy parker

Modern decorative pieces, so not antiques, so of no interest in my field. Hirsch still make lamps, so yours could be brand new. The numbers might be pattern numbers, rather than dates.

Place of origin - I shall leave you to check up on Hirsch, as it will take you just a few minutes. The other, well, let me think, it's just a wild guess of course, but, taking a long shot, maybe we would be in the ball park if we were to make a rough guess that it was MADE IN NY, like it says!

Value as antiques, which is what I volunteer to provide advice for ... well, $0, as they are not antiques.
