I have a table such as you described and wonder how to obtain a value on it. I will try to research it further if I can.

Mine is also from the Syracuse Folding Table Co. and it is just like yours except it is called the "Monarch" and the patent is July 1888.  Can't find anything on the internet about it, can you?

I also have a table made by the Syracuse Folding Table Company.  Mine says "The Rival", has a checkerboard on top and the date Aug 2, 1887.  It is also adjustable height.  I am  currently having trouble trying to put it back together after putting a coat of clear polyurethane on it.  I need pictures of the bottom of the table and the folding mechanism, but am having a very difficult time.
