we have a dentzel horse and one of my dogs took a liking to the tail--need a new one, but not sure where to look. also need to find someone that can do a " protective coating" on the dentzel and dare horses.they were restored many years ago and the person that did the work is unavailable.i  can send pictures to help you if  that will  help  you help me. also looking for one more special horse.   i'm located in connecticut.  thanks for any help you can send my way!  linda naum

Answer
Hi Linda,

You can purchase a quality tail from Ken and Barb Weaver of Weaver's Antiques in Pennsylvania.  Contact them at:  barbmgr@aol.com.

The best source for "special" higher end carousel figures would be Rusty and Emmy Donohue of Americana Antiques in Oxford, Maryland.  They have a website where you'll find their contact information.   http://www.americanaantiques.net

To have your horses clear coated in Connecticut, contact the New England Carousel Museum at (860) 585-5411 .  Louis DeMars is the one to talk to there.  Her restoration artist, Juan Andreau will do a fine job for you.

Please contact me if I can be of further assistance.
