QUESTION: Hi Rex..I found this antique lamp at a sale. Can you give me any information on it? Thanks...Linda

ANSWER: If that is an antique, I think it is a pink pattern glass kerosene lamp from around the 1920s and probably worth around $100. However, there have been many reproductions made available in all the colors and patterns. If this is a repro, then you can buy this same lamp out of a repro catalog complete for about $25.

Thanks

QUESTION: Hi Rex..Is there any way to tell if it is a repro or original...Thanks..Linda

Answer
It would be easier if I saw it in person. The brass burner part looks new, but it could be a replacement part. One way to tell is by looking at the age of the glass. Is it bright and shiny or dull? Usually newer glass has sharper lines where the glass seams together. Other than that I would have to handle it to determine for sure.

Thanks
