Thanks for your message. You plainly didn't bother to inform yourself properly. The enquiry to which you refer was not related to my specialism, which is clearly flagged for anyone to see when asking a question. The person asking about a lamp was wasting my time without a thought for anyone else but herself. So, who do I think I am? I am an expert in antique pewter from the British Isles, on which I answer questions.

If you care to read some of my other answers, you will find that when I am asked a sensible question related to my specialism, I answer quickly and give useful information, which is provided voluntarily by me (I receive no payment), free of charge, for the benefit of those in the online community who take enough care to ensure that they ask a pertinent question of the right expert. Volunteering my time to help people does not mean I have to put up with idiots asking stupid and irrelevant questions.

Nor does it mean I have to put up with offensive abuse from anonymous, foul-mouthed and brainless individuals. You, of course, have demonstrated that you are doubly ridiculous, as you have been directly and absurdly rude without any reason whatsoever. You are a pointless lowlife who should curl up with embarassment at the fool you have made of yourself in publishing your message on the internet.

I trust you find this response helpful and speedy. Now, do you have a question about pewter?
