Question
Hello! I have a thimble which is marked sterling.  It also has a large "C" with a large "W" over the C and an arrow through the middle of both.  I cannot seem to reference this maker.  Can you help?  Thanks, Diane

Answer
Hello Diane.  The mark you describe is that of Webster Company, North Attleboro MA.  They made thimbles using this mark from 1880-1950.  If you would like to send me a digital picture (bacchino@twcny.rr.com) I may be able to tell you more on your specific thimble.  Barb
