Question
The St. Marys Recreastion Department in St. Marys, Pa has an old pepsi cola pop machine that is no longer being used by the department. Its refrigeration system still works and it was used by the Boys Club in St. Marys when I was a kid in the 1950's. It was made by the Ideal dispensor Company in Columbus, Ohio.  It serial # is R3LL274A.  Its electrical system is 115 volts, 60 cycles and it has 1/8 horsepower.  Any idea what its value today is.  thanks, Brian Donahue St. Marys Recreation Department

Answer
Hi Brian,

Thank You for sending the photo's of you Pepsi chest cooler. My books don't list this model because, even that it is old, it is not old enough. My guess as to how old it is, would be by the looks of it, I would say 60's. The newest chest cooler listed in my book is late 40's to 50's and the value of that early model is $350.00 to $400.00. If I were to take a guess at it's value, I would say from 150.00 to $400.00 because it can still be used to keep your beer and pop cold, and that's good, and that would be where it's value is right now as a working old chest cooler. It is still old and a antique, so that's about all I can say about it.
Thank You
Sincerely

Hi Brian,
WOW another pop machine question, I tired to shy away from these pop machine and scale questions as I stated on my expertise, but now it's 90 percent of my questions. Oh well, I am here to help if I can. I would need a model number at least, or a photo is better yet, can you e-mail a photo? If so, send it to jackpot7@ix.netcom.com
Thank You Brian
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
