Question
i have just started on this subject and have run into a blank wall.i have a leadfree pewter jug 5" high with a triangle handle wrapped in cane stamped on the bottom roundhead,with a scetch of a roundhead soldier under.then the words leadfree pewter made in england,it is pot bellied in shape with a hinged lid and a spout 2.5" wide.
sorry i can't send a picture at this time as i am brand new at this. and spent 2.5 hrs reading your site yesterday
and was quite impressed.ps.the email address is my grandaughters as i do not have one yet.thank you if you can help.extra ps the jug appears to be hand beaten.

Ltd of Musgrave Works, Musgrave Road, Hockley, Birmingham, England, who were active from 1922, probably until the 1940s or 1950s, and registered the trade mark of "ROUNDHEAD" accompanied by an image of a roundhead soldier's head in 1926. The insulation on the handle suggests it was intended as a hot water jug.
