Question
QUESTION: hi my name is dan and i would like your help. i have a eletric motor builtg by century eletric in 1899 and i would like to know how much it is worth and i can not find antone to help me. please help.

ANSWER: Hi Dan,
Please don't rate me on this, as this is nothing I know about. I have see some very old electric motors in things like old Nickelodeon player piano's and such. I really don't think they are worth much, but I could be very wrong here. I suggest that you do a search for them on ebay, and get an idea what they are selling for there, I am sure you will find some. That's about all I can help you with here, as I do old coin operated games, and motors, well that's another world to me.
Sorry
Thank You

QUESTION: thank you rodger. i do not know much about this motor but i do know that it was from a eletric car in 1899

Answer
Just in asking around, I guess they did make them, Baker was one company. Maybe in trying to find the real value in this, would be do do a search on old cars, or maybe Hemmings motor news. You got to go from here, I am not a car guy, but I really think you have something here and you need to research it further.

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
