Question
Unfortunately, I can not ask him a question about my roll top desk because it says he is "maxed out"

Should I keep trying at a later date?

Answer
Hello Phyllis
When you see maxed out beside an experts name it means they have reached the maximum number of questions they have requested to answer each day. It does not mean they will not be back.
When I first started Alexperts I had unlimited questions.
I soon found out I could not handle that many. So I changed it to 3 per day.
So after I get my 3 questions, you will see maxed out beside my name. But I am back as soon as the questions are answered for that day.
Keep trying
Regards
Eileen

Expertise

I can answer most questions about the repairing and refinishing of all your old furniture items (the things we call antiques). I can also give you advice on what wood items to choose and what wood items to avoid at auctions, flea markets etc. I DO NOT give appraisals on antiques as this is not my field of expertise.

Experience

I have been repairing, refinishing and of course buying old furniture for the past 30 years. On any given weekend I can be found at auction sales or flea markets searching out a good buy. I have taken several courses in this area over the years, but I find "Hands On" learning to be the best teacher. I can help you avoid the pitfalls and problems of this wonderful rewarding craft.
