Answer
Hi Bev,

If the model number is 873, then it is a Bally slot made in 1970, description is a 5 line pay. Five times the money, five times the fun. this multiple line concept, one of the greatest advancements in slots, was extended to pay diagonally from the top and bottom left. the first coin played the center pay-line, the second the top and the third the bottom. Price of this machine new in 1970 was $1,695.00. value of this machine can fit in 5 categories according to the latest blue book on them. $640.00, $1,190.00, $1,550.00, $1,700.00, $1,890.00. The high being brand new out of the box, the 1,700.00 being restored to new condition, 1,190.00 to 1,550.00 being good to better or great working machines with good glass, and 640.00 needing work but complete. My value using my standards would put the value around 1,200.00 to 1,300.00.
Hope this helps bev.
Thank You
Rodger...........

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
