Question
Hi
I have a small [half gill] pewter measure by Gaskell & Chambers Ltd of Birmingham. It is marked on the outside rim with ER & 671 underneath that. Alongside that marking is 4 with 62 underneath.  On the inside base there is the following mark  a cross [x] with a triangle above with a Y inside that and above that is a diamond shape.  Could you tell me the current value of this item

If you go to www.antique-metalware.co.uk and click through to my eBay bargain listings (link at the end of the first paragraph of text on the home page), you will see a piece there by G&C of similar date (c1905). See what it makes.

Also on my website you can interpret the ER671 mark by clicking on the left menu button for verification marks.

PS: it's not a tankard, it's a measure.
