Question
hi,I've been given a teapot, a "pot ą lait" (milk jug?)and a sugar basin; on the teapot there is :the number 3, then a hallmark (a head of a animal, maybe a  cat),then "21";below: "James Dixon&sons",below "Sheffield", below :71925.I would like to know the approximate date of the set (same number on the other pieces), and the value. kind regards and sorry for my English.

Answer
-

Dates not earlier than 1882, and probably much later. Dixon's were still using similar marks in the mid 20th Century.

Cat mark is not something I've seen on Dixon pieces - possibly a retailer's mark.

Value just a few tens of dollars.

Nothing wrong with your English!
