Question
Rodger Hi,
Attached is a photo of a Twin Jackpot Watling Scales slot machine, can you give me a year of production and approx value. It is in working order, but is missing the right front cast door that covers the candy storage, and the paper that covers the wheels are also missing but that I presume is a little more of a minor thing.
Thanks Greg

Answer
Hi Greg,

I would put it's year at 1934. As for the value as it is, I would say from $750.00 to $1,200.00. If it was a gold award model it would bring a little more, if it was a roll-a-top, it would bring a ton more, but it's not. finding the right reel strip combination, for the reel strips would be hard. Parts for watling are really hard to find and EXPENSIVE! There are some reproduced parts out there but just not nearly as good as original parts. Hope it has the original back door lock and key, does it? does it work?, does it look complete inside? nice machine to own but having all it's parts is very important to Watlings. Hope this give you the answers you are looking for. I would give you $800.00 for it right now for it, and feel happy, but not great. You can get a little more then that out of it if you work at it. If interested in selling, my e-mail address is jackpot7@ix.netcom.com
Thank You
Rodger

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
