Collectibles-General (Antiques) - value of my firearm?

Expert: Neil S Berman - 4/15/2004

Question
I have a pistol with the markings P9R 9mm Parabellum made by Feg Hungary I think its a S&W 5906 replica I was try to find an online blue book of this firearm, where should I look to aquire the info. on this weapon

Answer
I can only help with pre 1898 firearms, and auto fed pistols is not my expertise. Having said that, the following qualify as pre 1898 buttom clip fed semi-automatic pistols. All these German manufactured weapons came in 7.65 and .380 calbre. .380 is a 9MM short, or "Parabellum" caibre.
1. 1896 Mauser (the famous "Broomhandle)
2. 1896 Luger
3. Bergmann
4. Borchardt
5. Styer
What you have is post 1898 and sounds like WWII or after.
I'm sorry I can't be of much help. Regards. NSB.
