Question
Hello,  I have a vintage coin operated horse with the coin box and key.  The plate on the coin box says it is by Al Fischer and has the year 1967 in it.  It is in good working order, and it has a leather saddle and stirrups and bridle.  I can't find any info on line to let me know if I'm sitting on something valuable or just a neat toy for the kids...can you help me?

Thanks!

Answer
Hi Angie,

These are little out of my area but I do see them, this is one site that had a few for sale but I don't see any there right now, it's: http://gameroomantiques.com/NelsonPlayfield.htm

I have also see them on e-bay from time to time, I believe they bring in around $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 which also depends what it is and what kind of shape it's in. Hope this helps some. So Yes, they are worth some money.
Thank You
Rodger

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
