I purchased this wooden horse tricycle, I would like to know the history (if any)..I pd $100.00 / 10 yrs ago.
This is not an exact pic, but extremely close..The head and mouth on mine are more detailed. but iron brackets are identical.
Answer There are literally thousands of these fake horse trikes in the US. They're made in the Philippines, synthetically aged and most often sold as an antique. Quite frankly, they don't even come close to what the early ones looked like. There are so few remaining original Velocepedes that I believe all of them are in museums. The good news is that you only paid $100. I've know people to pay more than ten times that! I believe they wholesale for around $25.00 each in groups of ten.
