Question
QUESTION: I have a picture of my father wearing a diamond shaped pin on his right collar. It has small star with a circle in it. He was a pilot. The left collar has the wing and propeller. His cap also has the wing and propeller emblem. Can you identify the diamond shaped pin.

ANSWER: Hi Ken,
Thanks for the e-mail and question.
I would have to see a picture of the item you are describing.
Please send a scan of the "pin".
Thanks, Bill

QUESTION: I don't have the pin all I have is this picture.

Answer
Hi Ken,
I received your e-mail and picture, however, I could not make out any details. Without seeing the pin it is difficult to identify. It sounds like it is a "DUI" Distinctive Unit Insignia. I suspect the pin is for one of the Army Air Corps Units, i.e. 1st Air Corps, 2nd Air Corps, 3rd Air Corps, etc.
Thats about the best I can do without seeing the "pin".
Sincerely, Bill
