Question
QUESTION: I came in possesion of a 2004 sealed collector case of hot wheels it has never been opened he said that there was some special cars that you could only get by buying this sealed case in 2004 my question is two fold. What would you do with it some people at the toy shows say it's worth more broke open and sell it indviualy some say leave it sealed it's worth more this way the packing slip from the redline club says $467 he paid for it in 2004 and my second question
can you tell me whats in there or a place I could go to find out
thanks
Kelly

ANSWER: Kelly,
To find out what Variations are in that case you would have to open it. You would also have a better chance to get more money by selling them individually. As far as seeing what is in there, stop at your local bookstore and buy my latest book, "Hot Wheels Variations, The Ultimate Guide 3rd. Edition". In there will be a complete list of the 2004 mainline cars that would be in the set. BUT..... you need to open the box to see what Variations you have. You may have the good ones.... and you may not.
Good Luck!

QUESTION: My answer my come by getting your book But on top of the
case in a styrafom piece is a VW drag bus that had a couple of strange things about it the sticker said 000 Then it said
just like this 101 0f 100. Is this special or worth a lot ?
thank you again

Answer
Kelly,
That piece was not sold in stores. It was a Limited Edition piece. It's actually the VW Pickup Drag Truck, not the Drag Bus. This is from the 2004 First Editions series.  It is #101 of 100.  It was only available by a mail in offer.
It is worth about $20 or so.
