Question
Dear Sir, Hi! My husband wants to sell his Matco Diecast car collection. He has a funnycar from the SuperNationals in 99 in its original leather like box in mint condition. And two boxes of sets of other Matco diecast cars never opened.
He says if I try to sell the two big box sets without breaking the seal on the cardboard outter box (which only says: "Matco # SNHR 99" & "SNHR20") that it will sell for more. But I can't even tell what die cast cars are in those carboard boxes.Is it better to at least open the cardboard shipping box they are in to see what's inside? They are heavy.But anyway, I guess he paid about $200.00 dollars apiece for them at the time. (circa 1999) (Must be a guy thing I guess. lol)I don't know what to do. Please help. :o(

It's always best not to open things if they are still factory sealed. If anyone is looking for the set, they will know what is in it.
Your best bet is to look on ebay for similar pieces. If you find any, see how they are selling. If they are not doing well, then don't bother at this time. If they are selling well, wait until they sell and then put yours on.
That's the best I can tell you.
