Question
Hi Marilyn,

I was quite impressed with your collection!  I never knew so many bubble blowers existed.  About 10 years ago we had one of the Fisher Price bubble leaf blowers.  My daughter loved it and still talks about it today even though she's getting ready to turn 14.  As a birthday suprise, I've been searching for one to buy for her but haven't had any luck so far.  Any suggestions?  I've already looked the usual places - ebay, nextag, shopping.com, etc.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ashley

Answer
Hi Ashley,

The Fisher Price bubble leaf blower is one of my favorites because it is so good in blowing tons of bubbles. It does show up on ebay every once in a while, but often people don't even know what to call it. I did an ebay search to see if one was hiding out under some name, but had no luck.

You can keep trying weekly on ebay with this search string:
   (Fisher,FP,leaf) +bubbl* -mailer*
and see if one shows up -- that string should catch them all. Of course, it will catch a bunch of things you don't want too, but it narrows the field down a bit.

Fisher Price is no longer selling the leaf blower, as you've found. I also checked ePier, eBid.net, ubid, and amazon -- but, alas, found none for sale.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Marilyn

I am a collector of bubble blowers and can direct others to where they might find a specific bubble blower, and also help them get more information about bubbles and bubble blowers. Feel free to ask any bubble related questions and if I don`t know the answer I`ll give you some other ideas to explore. Please note that I am a COLLECTOR of bubble blowers, not a seller, but I can often point you in the right direction for one you would like to find.

Experience in the area:
I have been collecting bubble blowers for many, many years, and have around 700 in my personal collection. I have built a "museum" of bubble blowers over the years online at www.BubbleBlowers.com.
