We have recently purchased a PEZ dispenser that the package shows a Star Wars theme, but the actual dispenser inside is the Lion King. Does this creat any additional value? How can I find out if and when there are any PEZ trade shows in the San Antonio, Texas area?

Hi John,

The past year or two have produced many such errors in the retail markets.  It's not certain if this relaxed quality control within the company is accidental or a test to watch the buzz in the collecting circles.  Either way, it's created some interesting displays in collections all over the country.

There are some collectors who will pay a premium for such pieces.  Usually a $1 dispenser will sell anywhere from $1 up to $7 depending upon the desire of the buyer to add that particular piece to their collection.
