Question
I was served with papers today stating that I was being sued over CC debt owed to Citi Bank. What do I do now? What if a judgement is granted what can they take from me in Texas.  What happens if I ingnore the papers?

Answer
Kristil:

You must file a responsive pleading or dispositive motion.  If you do not, default judgment may be taken against you.

Under Texas law, they cannot garnish your wages but, the item will still appear on your reports and preclude you from purchasing certain things such as a house until satisfied.
