Collections Law/Auto Loan

Question
Last year I thought I was co-signing for a car loan here in Oklahoma.  It turns out that my now ex-boyfriend was not on the loan.  He dumped the truck and I have been behind over a year trying to make payments.  I have been harassed by Wells Fargo who claim they are going to garnish my wages if I give them the truck that I owe $ 21,000 on, they take it to auction and get $ 10,000 for the truck and I am left owing them $ 14,000 including interest, fees etc.   I am a single, head of household mother of 2 and cannot afford to have 25% of my check come out.  We cannot live on $ 540.00 a paycheck.  Can they garnish a head of household?  I told them I could pay them $ 429.00 this week and $ 300.00 next week.  That is not acceptable.  They want $ 520.00 and then $ 901.00 in 2 weeks.  Obviously I do not have that kind of money.  I am trying to work with them, but it is in pre-repossession and I am only being harassed more.  My ex-husband owes $ 24,000 in back child support and he cannot be found.  I need some advice. I appreciate any help/advice you can provide.

As you may know, I'm in OKC myself. There are some possibilities but if you can't pay they will take you to court and most likely will get a judgment. The only realistic way out of the situation will be to catch the debt collector or attorney breaking the law and sue for their violations in federal court.

Best you get started learning right away. If you will call me tonight or tomorrow and can attend a meeting in OKC tomorrow night at Denny's which is located at SW 74th & Penn on the north side of the service road we can meet and get you started learning.

I have a meeting tomorrow morning at 10:00 A.M. at Coit's Root Beer up on 50th & N. Portland with a student which may well take up about an hour and have to be in court with him at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon. That will probably take a couple of hours but I can take your phone call most any other time. I'm usually up by 7:00 and sometimes much earlier so anytime after 7:00 or so will be fine too.

So if you live in OKC or nearby maybe we can meet tomorrow or talk by phone. Whatever suits you best.

Point is that now is the time to get started learning how to deal with this stuff in an effective manner. If you wait until after they start with the collection agency or the lawyer files a lawsuit you are going to be in much worse shape than you would be otherwise.

Education/Credentials
Paralegal courses for the most part.
I have been teaching people how to deal with judgments, mortgage foreclosures and other such problems both on and off the internet for many, many years. I am a Richard Cornforth information provider ever since 2000 and worked with many other organizations and causes since 1980. I was Oklahoma State Chairman for the nationwide drive to defeat the Constitutional Convention which was proposed by various factions within our federal government such as the Council of State Governments and the National Organization of State Governors who were working hard to organize a Constitutional Convention to be held in 1995 for the purpose of rewriting our American Constitution to be more acceptable to the United Nations. I worked with Senator Charles Duke of Colorado and Senator Don Rogers of California and many others across the nation to keep them from getting the number of delegate states required to lawfully hold a Con-Con and we were successful. I have worked with many other legislative issues in Oklahoma and have always been very successful.
