Question
Hello. I had a car loan about 10 yrs ago. The dealer which sold me the veh never registed it. I had began getting numerous tickets and the dealer was not responsive, since the person who sold me the veh was no longer employed with them. I sold the veh back to the bank which held the loan. yrs later a collection agency. put a levy on a joint account I had with my girlfriend. What can i do, if i sold/gave the veh back to the bank. how can i still be in debt. What steps can i take to clear this off my credit. Since i did not have the veh for even more then 3 months?  How can i open another account and avoid a levy.

Answer
Marie,

It sounds like the vehicle was a voluntary repo.  In order to place a levy on an account they would have had to file for a judgment and won.  In order to have this removed you have to file a motion to vacate, and prove your case.
