Question
I just had a payday loan place call me and because they have never received
payment threaten to have me arrested for fraud. They said because I was at
work when I applied, but I used only my personal email etc. I am filing
bankruptcy is what really got them going. My attorney is unavailable and his
legal aid said not to worry. Is this true?

Answer
S:

It could be considered passing a bad check under your state law but, with these type of places there theory of recovery is more grounded in contract law.  I wouldn't necessarily worry over it either.
