Question
I financed my vehicle with my credit union 2 yrs ago. back in March my credit union sent me my title with all signatures in the correct places. I even took the title in to Motor Vehicle to see if it was Valid and it was so i transferred it to my name. My question is, is that loan still valid and do they have the right to repo my vehicle if i fall behind on payments because they have already threatened me to do so and i am only 6 days behind on it.

Answer
Mark:

Yes, they still have the right of repossession under the terms of the contract if you've not paid the note in full.  Some credit unions will hand over the title before the note is fully paid but, that doesn't mean they forgive or negate the rest of the balance owed.
