Question
My husband left me and house forclosed, I owed 6,000 originally to Cap One, after not paying for almost 5 months it is now up to 8,000. I have been contacted by a company called creditors interchange who want full payment now., or my account will be forwarded to lawyers for arbitration.  I don't want to be sued as I cannot afford wage garnishment.  What should my next step be in answer to this letter?  Thank You

Answer
Dear Wanda,

Thank you for your question.

The account has been forwarded to the a collection agency called Creditors Interchange here in Buffalo NY.  They are known for abusive collection practices and must be dealt with firmly.  I would like to see a copy of the auto generated letter.  Is the this first correspondence you're receiving from CI?

Ontrack Financial Group may be able to resolve this collection issue.  You wouldn't need to communicate or worry about this collection agency we will handle everything.
