Question
My son leased a new car last month, however he was so upside down in his previous car loan, he couldn't get "out of the loan as a trade in.  Now he is not making payments on the 2 year old car loan he had, just paying his new car lease payment.  He wants the credit union to repo his old car.  Can the credit union find out that he just got a new car lease?  If so what can they do to him beside screw up his credit, I know that is inevitable.

Answer
Mr. or Ms. Ullestad:

They can repossess his old car, sale it at auction and sue him for any deficency.  If they do this, they could garnish his wages, attach any title to property, and attach title to his new car.
