Question
Hello,

My son is covered on my medical insurance; however, he lives with his mother in a
different state.  I recently noticed collections on my credit report related to unpaid medical
bills for my son.  Since I didn't take my son to the doctor appointments, and didn't have
knowledge of the visit, or balance due...what course of action can I take to have these
items removed?

Thank you

Answer
Greg:

You should request validation from the debt collectors reporting this.  Moreover, you should dispute the account tradelines through the credit reporting agencies and state that you never received notice of this alleged debts.
