Question
Is there any way to ask to a judge to postpone a court date sent by summons?

Answer
Yes.  Simply send a letter to the court, certified, with your case number and explain your need to postpone and a real good reason for your request.  It would not hurt to have the document Notarized if you know a Notary Public.  Good luck with this and Happy New Year.
