Question I received a bill from a physical therapist who performed no work on me. I sent them a letter (twice) thoroughly stating why I did not agree with the bill,and why I did not plan to pay it. In my opinion, the bill is not owed because the only visit I had at this office was a consultation, which I interpreted to be at no charge. Never did they call me back to make an actual appointment.
Now they have sent me a third bill (after I have sent the letter twice) stating that I owe the balance. Should I pay it or not? I do not want it sent to collections, but I do not think that I should have to pay a bill that I do not owe just because they have taken it upon themselves to charge me for services that they did not perform.

What I would do if I were you is that I would demand to see proof of the debt. That means that you want to see where you signed your name indicating that you would pay for this "consultation"
My general rule is that if the bill is less than 100.00, just pay it. If the bill is more fight like hell!
