Question
Hello, my name is Oleksii. I'm 23 years old, moved to the USA 2 years ago. That's the time when I got my first cell phone with a smart access. I always paid my bills in time an have excellent credit history. fter a year and a half a joined my wife to the account and they informed me that they could put me on normal plan instead of smart access. I agreed. Yesterday I checked my credit report and found out that I have a collection account sold to the agency by T-mobile. They say I missed a payment which was the last bill before I joined my wife. When I did that I asked them to put all my ills together and make sure I get them at my adress. I even called them a couple of times to make sure everything is correct, tey said it was fine and I don't owe them anything. Now they explain that the account had been renewed and the bill was sent to some other address... They never called me, never wrote, never said anything ws wrong, when I asked.
Now it's om my credit report and it's fair instead of excelent due to the careless representaties. I called them and asked to hlp me fill the dispute form but they answered tht they couldn't.
What should I do? I really want my credit to be in good standing again

Answer
Olesii:

Simply put, you need to dispute the applicable account tradeline that now appears on your credit report.  Or, you need to consider hiring someone to assist you with it.  In either event, reduce your communication to writing.
