Question
My question is a bit complex, I just checked my credit report and saw I have a judgment from 3 years ago. I lived in a townhouse and was renting from a realty company. The neighborhood was awful as far as crime is concerned. I notified the company several times about the crime and shootings in the area. I honored my lease but they said because I did not put in writing that I did not want to renew the lease they automatically renewed the lease. Well there was a shoot out in my front yard, and I was 8 months pregnant at the time so my husband and I packed up our family and moved out of state. Well, needless to say they took me to court, originally said I owed 10,000 but from what I see on my credit report they were awarded $925. How can I have this removed? Is it worth it trying to have it removed or should I pay it? And if I pay it, how can I then have it removed?

Answer
It is just barely worth fighting about but if you pay it you won't get it removed from your credit reports unless you use the method at http://www.creditwrench.com/westcap.html which usually works with no problem.

Other than that, you would have to sue them in federal court. If you do that you would get all your money back and then some in most instances.

Why not get in on our Friday night conference calls where you can get more information than can be given here.

Experience

I've been an active consumer advocate for more than 40 years and have helped hundreds of people win cases against debt collectors as well as helping them defeat demands for summary judgment lodged against them by banks, debt collectors and defeat mortgage foreclosures and keep their homes.

Education/Credentials
Paralegal courses for the most part.
I have been teaching people how to deal with judgments, mortgage foreclosures and other such problems both on and off the internet for many, many years. I am a Richard Cornforth information provider ever since 2000 and worked with many other organizations and causes since 1980. I was Oklahoma State Chairman for the nationwide drive to defeat the Constitutional Convention which was proposed by various factions within our federal government such as the Council of State Governments and the National Organization of State Governors who were working hard to organize a Constitutional Convention to be held in 1995 for the purpose of rewriting our American Constitution to be more acceptable to the United Nations. I worked with Senator Charles Duke of Colorado and Senator Don Rogers of California and many others across the nation to keep them from getting the number of delegate states required to lawfully hold a Con-Con and we were successful. I have worked with many other legislative issues in Oklahoma and have always been very successful.
