Question
OK HERE IS THE STORY. TODAY I HAD A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR COME TO MY HOUSE ASKING ALL SORTS OF QUESTIONS REGARDING A CAR I USED TO OWN.  THIS CAR WAS REPOSED OR AT LEAST I THOUGHT WAS REPOSED IN MARCH OF 2007.  SOMEONE CAME TO MY APARTMENT DEMANDED TO KNOW WHERE THE CAR WAS AND THE KEYS. SO I GAVE THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER THE KEYS AND SHOWED HIM WHERE THE CAR WAS BACK IN 03/2007.  SO AS FAR AS I KNEW THE CAR WAS REPOSED FOR NON PAYMENT. WHICH WAS RIGHT I WENT THROUGH I REALLY BAD TIME IN MY LIFE AT THIS POINT.  WELL TODAY A PRIVATE COMES TO MY HOUSE ASKING MY MOTHER ALL SORTS OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR AND THREATENED HER WITH GETTING A FELONY WARRANT FOR MY ARREST OVER THIS.  IS THIS CORRECT CAN THEY ISSUE A FELONY WARRANT FOR MY ARREST OVER WHAT I OWE ON THE CAR. THEY ARE SAYING THE CAR WAS NEVER TURN OVER.  I LIVE IN TEXAS.  YOUR INPUT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

Answer
File a police report and tell them you thought the car was repossessed. Then tell the investigator to take a leap. You cannot be arrested for a debt such as this but since they wont acknowledge they repossessed the car you want record of what happened.

My question to you is why do you believe the car was repossessed? Were you contacted by someone back then? Make sure you put this information in the police report. And relax, they cannot file felony charges or any criminal charges against you.

I hope this helps.
